Bob Angeline, Enforcement and Compliance Specialist for Washington State Department of Commerce, Lead-Based Paint Program- has been working at Commerce since 2008. Prior to working at the Department, he was employed at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency- Region 10, Seattle. His background over the past 10 years includes working in the private sector as an industrial hygiene consultant. Prior to that, he had a long customer service career. He is professionally certified as an Asbestos Project Designer, Asbestos Building Inspector, and Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor. He serves as a safety advisor for lead and asbestos hazards with the Housing Improvements and Preservation Unit at Commerce.
Bob’s role at Department of Commerce:
Compliance: Meets with large or small groups to discuss the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule to discuss how to make effective, safe and cost effective containment. Bob also enjoys the opportunity to speak with state contractors seeking specific containment solutions.
Marketing: He likes the challenge in helping contractors market their work. Bob understands it is the number one marketing advantage to make homeowners feel safe with you and your crew, and to know that your firm will enter and leave the home clean, and free of hazards. Publishing: He develops and publishes LeadLines magazine on the Department of Commerce-Lead-Based Paint website. There you’ll find articles that feature current best work practices seen in the field, regulatory updates, new ideas, updated publications and recordkeeping forms for Renovators.
Enforcement: Bob is engaged in onsite field enforcement. This includes tips/complaints, random site visits, and recordkeeping inspections.
