Doug has been involved in the building/real estate field for over 35 years.
His overlapping careers in sustainable residential construction, real estate appraisal and property management have helped shape his understanding and belief as to the importance of the symbiotic relationship between an individual’s health, their residence and the environment.
As Director of Operations at Pathway Design & Construction and a facilitator/trainer for the TM4 Group, he is committed to providing employees, clients and others in the community useful information regarding Indoor Air Quality and the impact construction/remodel projects can have on an individual’s health.
He serves on the American Lung Association Master Home Environmentalist steering committee, Master Builders/Built Green Remodel committee and is actively involved with The Northwest Eco-builders Guild.
He was presented the 2008 Governor’s Award of Excellence for outstanding volunteer service with the ALA-MHE program and the 2010 Built Green Pioneer Award for efforts in helping develop the “Healthy Home for Building Professionals” series.
